She joins Memorial after serving as executive vice president and COO of Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health, according to a system news release.
Dr. Eaton will succeed Ed Curtis, who is retiring after a 50-year career with Memorial. The system operates five hospitals in Central Illinois.
