Illinois hospital names chief medical officer

Morris (Ill.) Hospital and Healthcare Centers has named Anthony Leazzo, DO, chief medical officer.

Dr. Leazzo joins Morris Hospital from Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine, where he served as medical director of its physician network for nearly six years. A family and sports medicine physician for over 20 years, he previously held leadership roles including department chair of family medicine in Geneva, Ill. He also served as a Lieutenant Commander and General Medical Officer in the U.S. Navy.

Morris Hospital is an 89-bed facility with 28 locations, offering primary and specialty care, emergency services and advanced surgical programs.
