Hutchinson Regional names CEO: 3 things to know

Hutchinson (Kan.) Regional Healthcare System has named Ken Johnson president and CEO, effective immediately.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Johnson.

1. He has been with the health system since early 2011. He started as CFO and was named COO in 2014. He then became interim president this past June upon the departure of former president Kevin Miller.

2. Previously, Mr. Johnson worked at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Charter Behavioral Health System, Via Christi Regional Medical Center and Galichia Heart Hospital, all in Wichita, Kan., as well as Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

3. He began his career in 1983 with Hutchinson Hospital Corp., a forerunner of Hutchinson (Kan.) Regional Medical Center.
