Hudson Headwaters Health Network CEO, CMO to retire

Queensbury, N.Y.-based Hudson Headwaters Health Network CEO John Rugge, MD, and CMO Dan Larson, MD, announced plans to retire from their roles, effective July 1, 2017. The network is a nonprofit system of 17 primary care community health centers.

 Here are three points:

1. Dr. Rugge will transition to the role of executive chairman of the network. He will also continue his clinical practice.

2. Dr. Larson will move to the role of CMO Emeritus. He, too, will continue providing patient care.

3. Tucker Slingerland, MD, will take over as CEO of the network. He currently serves as deputy CEO while also practicing family medicine.
