HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital names Patti Fischer permanent CEO: 5 takeaways

HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Ill., selected Patti Fischer to serve as its permanent president and CEO, according to a Belleville News-Democrat report.

1. Ms. Fischer became interim CEO of HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in February after former CEO Peggy A. Sebastian abruptly resigned.

2. In addition to serving as interim leader at St. Elizabeth’s, Ms. Fischer was serving as COO of HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill. She will now leave the COO position.
