Houston Methodist hospital names new chief nurse

Sarah Fleming, BSN, RN, has been named chief nursing officer of Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital.

Ms. Fleming has worked with Houston Methodist for more than 10 years, most recently serving as associate CNO of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. Her new role is effective April 12, according to a March 6 news release sent to local media outlets. 

As CNO of Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, Ms Fleming will oversee nursing efforts to improve patient care, quality and safety initiatives and enhance physician-nurse collaboration. 

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is a 337-bed facility handling more than 21,000 admissions and nearly 63,000 ED visits annually.
