Hospital Sisters Health System welcomes former Tenet hospital exec as new COO

Kathy Donovan, MSN, RN, recently started her new role as COO of Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System, according to a March 16 news release shared with Becker’s.

Ms. Donovan began her new role in January. She was also recognized in February at a special commissioning ceremony at the Evermode Institute in Springfield, according to the news release.

Previously, Ms. Donovan served as the group COO for Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare’s Detroit market as well as president and CEO of the DMC Children’s Hospital in Detroit.

Her other previous roles include COO and chief nursing officer at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis as well as COO of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare’s Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas.
