Hood Memorial Hospital’s new CEO is Mike Whittington: 4 things to know

Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite City, La., selected Mike Whittington, BSN, MSN, to serve as CEO, according to The Advocate.

Four things to know:

1. Mr. Whittington is assistant vice president of acute care informatics at North Oaks Health System in Hammond, La. He also serves as a family nurse practitioner at North Oaks Primary Care & After Hours Clinic in Ponchatoula, La.

2. He assumes the top post at Hood Memorial as part of a cooperative agreement between the two organizations.

3. Per the agreement, North Oaks will provide consultative services and leadership to Hood Memorial through the end of the year.

4. Mr. Whittington has worked at North Oaks since 1990.
