Mr. Strong was previously CEO of Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine. Before that, he held senior executive positions at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and the State University of New York Stony Brook School of Medicine.
He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Mr. Strong will replace Patrick A. Taylor, MD, who is resigning, effective Oct. 30.
