Heather Cianfrocco has been named COO of Pittsburgh-based Highmark Health, effective immediately, according to a May 5 news release.
Prior to her new role, Ms. Cianfrocco served as executive vice president of governance, compliance and information security for UnitedHealth Group, according to her LinkedIn page.
She also served in multiple roles at UnitedHealth Group’s Optum, including company CEO, president and CEO of Optum Rx.
“Heather is a seasoned, innovative health care leader who has a broad national lens, and her skills will be critical as we strive to further expand the reach of our mission and accelerate the work we are doing to transform our industry,” David Holmberg, Highmark Health CEO, said in the release.
