HHC Lincoln Medical Center names new CMO

The New York City Health and Hospitals Corp. has named Balvindar S. Sareen, MD, as CMO of HHC Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx.

Most recently, Dr. Sareen was the vice president and regional CMO of Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago. He also gained experience at hospitals in Wisconsin and New York.

He earned his medical degree in India, completed his residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., and is board certified in internal medicine, palliative care and hospice medicine. Dr. Sareen also has an MBA.

In his new role at HHC Lincoln Medical Center, Dr. Sareen will oversee all medical staff and medical affairs of the hospital, which has 425,000 outpatient visits, 165,000 emergency department visits and 25,000 inpatients annually.
