Bloomington, Minn.-based HealthPartners has named Blake Berquist executive vice president and CFO.
Mr. Berquist brings more than 17 years of healthcare finance and operations experience to the integrated health system, according to an April 20 news release. He most recently served as CFO for UnitedHealthcare’s national commercial health insurance business.
He succeeds Penny Cermak, who retired from the role earlier this month, according to the release.
“Blake has a strong track record of financial stewardship as well as a reputation for team building and delivering results,” HealthPartners President and CEO Andrea Walsh said in the release. “His experience will help us navigate the financial challenges of our industry and strengthen our ability as a nonprofit health system to generate the necessary margin to fulfill our mission of health improvement for our patients, members and community.”
