John Corbeil was appointed CEO of Overland Park (Kan.) Regional Medical Center, according to an Aug. 20 news release shared with Becker’s.
Mr. Corbeil joins from HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, where he has served as CEO since January 2019. He has 15 years of leadership experience with HCA Healthcare, beginning as an administrative intern and advancing through roles including assistant administrator, associate COO and COO.
He succeeds Matt Sogard, who led the hospital since 2018.
“His proven ability to lead high-performing teams, strengthen physician partnerships and deliver outstanding outcomes makes him the ideal person to lead Overland Park Regional Medical Center forward,” Keith Zimmerman, president of HCA Midwest Health, said in the release.
Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 351-bed hospital with more than 700 physicians across more than 30 specialties. It is part of HCA Midwest Health and Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
