HCA hospital in Missouri names CEO

Dan Astleford was appointed CEO of Belton (Mo.) Regional Medical Center, effective March 1, according to a March 16 news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Astleford succeeds longtime CEO Todd Krass, who is retiring after more than 20 years leading the hospital and more than four decades in healthcare.

Mr. Astleford brings more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role. Most recently, he served as COO of Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo., a position he held since 2019.

During his tenure at Centerpoint, he helped spearhead the opening of the $20 million ER of Independence in 2025 and supported growth across several service lines, including cardiovascular and oncology, according to the release.

Before joining Centerpoint, Mr. Astleford held leadership roles within HCA Healthcare facilities in Louisiana and Tennessee. He began his career with HCA Midwest Health in 2010 at Overland Park (Kan.) Regional Medical Center.

Belton Regional, Centerpoint and Overland Park Regional are part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
