Dr. Habis brings a wealth of experience to the role, according to a news release.
Most recently, he served as chief medical officer for the HCA Healthcare South Atlantic Division. He also previously served as chief medical officer for HCA Healthcare’s Riverside (Calif.) Community Hospital.
Dr. Habis began his new role May 1.
