HCA hospital CEO heads to Beth Israel Lahey Health

Stephen Chandler has been appointed president of Winchester (Mass.) Hospital.

Mr. Chandler most recently served as CEO of HCA Healthcare Summerville (S.C.) Hospital, according to a March 18 news release from the hospital. Before that, he was COO of HCA’s Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Va.

Winchester Hospital is a 229-bed facility serving northwest suburban Boston and offers a range of services including surgical specialties, pediatrics, cardiology and oncology.

The hospital is part of Cambridge, Mass.-based Beth Israel Lahey Health, which includes academic medical centers, teaching hospitals and community hospitals, with more than 4,700 physicians and 39,000 employees.
