HCA appoints Heather Rohan TriStar Division president: 5 key notes

Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America appointed Heather Rohan as president of its TriStar Division, which includes 16 hospitals in Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia.

Ms. Rohan will take over the post on Dec. 1, 2016.

Here are five key notes:

1. Mr. Rohan currently is CEO of TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, a role she took on in 2012. During her tenure, the Children's Hospital at TriStar Centennial opened, expanding its cardiovascular and orthopedic service lines.

2. She has been with HCA for 30 years and has served in a number of leadership positions during that time.

3. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and was elected to the board of governors in 2015.  

4. Ms. Rohan will replace Steve Corbeil as TriStar Division president.

5. Mr. Corbeil is retiring after 33 years in healthcare. He has served as president of HCA's TriStar Division since 2011.
