HCA appoints Chris Taylor as Parallon president

Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America has appointed Chris Taylor as president of Franklin, Tenn.-based Parallon, an HCA subsidiary that provides healthcare business and operational services to more than 1,400 hospitals.

Mr. Taylor has served as interim president of Parallon since November 2013 and has been the company’s CFO since 2012, according to a news release. Before becoming CFO of Parallon, he was CFO of HCA’s TriStar Division, which encompasses 17 hospitals in Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky.

Mr. Taylor is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Federation of American Hospitals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tenn., and an MBA from Belmont University in Nashville.
