Hawaii system CEO to depart

Lynn Fulton, CEO of Wailuku, Hawaii-based Maui Health, plans to step down May 3, according to a news release from the health system.

Ms. Fulton has served in the role since Jan. 1, 2024, according to an April 10 health system news release. She is returning to central Illinois to be closer to family.

During her tenure, she led efforts to improve quality, safety and operational performance across the system. Moreover, the organization reported gains in patient care outcomes and reductions in preventable adverse events, according to the release. 

Ms. Fulton also oversaw workforce stabilization, including recruitment and retention efforts, leadership development and culture initiatives. She helped guide strategic clinical efforts, including planning for a residency program and the introduction of a da Vinci surgical robot later in 2026.
