Halifax Health promotes Bob Williams to executive population health role: 5 things to know

Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Halifax Health has promoted Bob Williams to vice president of population health and business development.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Williams.

1. As vice president of population health and business development, Mr. Williams will “lead the development of business relationships and processes to deliver person-centered health solutions to specific population groups,” officials said.

2. He previously was executive director of business development for Halifax Health.

3. During his tenure at Halifax Health, he has led the system’s community health needs assessment, Re-New You population health and wellness program, a telemedicine pilot program, e-commerce infrastructure development, pharmacy programs, grant development programs and several strategic partnerships.

4. Outside of healthcare, Mr. Williams has more than three decades of experience as a computer scientist and entrepreneur. 

5. He graduated from Daytona Beach (Fla.) Community College. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from the University of South Florida College of Engineering in Tampa.  In 2004, he was awarded a Doctor of Laws from Daytona Beach-based Bethune-Cookman University for public service.
