Guthrie chief digital officer heads to Sharp HealthCare

The digital leader of Sayre, Pa.-based Guthrie plans to join San Diego-based Sharp HealthCare as chief digital information officer.

Terri Couts, RN, who serves as executive vice president and chief digital officer at Guthrie, a six-hospital system, said in an Aug. 17 LinkedIn post that she starts at Sharp, which has eight hospitals, in October. She has also worked in IT leadership roles at New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals and Akron (Ohio) Children’s.

“I’m excited to take all I’ve learned at Guthrie and bring it to another remarkable health system,” she wrote in the post. “I hope to continue to push boundaries, solve meaningful problems, and create technology that enables the experiences that truly put people first.”
