Guthrie appoints 1st chief pharmacy officer from Ascension

Paul Mollo, PharmD, has been named the inaugural chief pharmacy officer for Sayre, Pa.-based Guthrie.

In this role, Dr. Mollo will oversee the health system’s pharmacy operations and lead the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical pharmacy programs, products and services, according to a news release.

Dr. Mollo joins Guthrie after serving as senior director of 340B and Medication Assistance Programs at Ascension Rx, a division of St. Louis-based Ascension.

Guthrie operates hospitals and outpatient facilities across Pennsylvania and upstate New York.
