Greater Hazleton Health Alliance CEO James Edwards to Resign

James Edwards, president and CEO of Greater Hazleton (Pa.) Health Alliance, has announced his resignation, effective Jan. 31.

Mr. Edwards was expected to serve as president of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, a recent merger between Greater Hazleton Health Alliance and Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pa.

Mr. Edwards does not have further plans as of now, but he plans to spend time with his family and “explore other opportunities that have presented,” according to the news release.

Mr. Edwards served as president and COO of GHHA since 2004.

John Fletcher, COO of GHHA, has been named as interim president of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
