Mr. Furnas is the third member of the executive management team, after CEO Brian Bentley and CFO Craig Stewart, to have resigned in the past month.

The three C-suite executives, along with CNO/COO Pam Fulks, came under fire in the last few months for refusing to take a pay cut in the wake of the hospital’s recent financial crisis. The crisis was a result of cuts in funding the hospital received from the state’s Sole Community Provider Fund. The crisis led to the decision to downgrade 70 full-time positions to part-time roles in May, according to the report.
