Robert Parker, who was appointed CEO of Columbus, Ga.-based St. Francis-Emory Healthcare in March, exited the role within the same month.
Bill Little has been named CEO, effective April 21, according to an April 16 news release from the two-campus, 376-bed regional health system. He brings more than 30 years of hospital leadership experience, including CEO roles at four hospitals.
Mr. Little most recently served as CEO of Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, S.C., which is also part of Louisville, Ky.-based ScionHealth. Under his eight-year leadership, the hospital improved its Leapfrog Group safety grade from a “D” to seven consecutive “A” grades, according to the release.
Before his most recent role, Mr. Parker was CEO of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, a 295-bed Lifepoint Health facility in Somerset, Ky. He stepped down from his role at St. Francis-Emory Healthcare in late March for personal reasons, a spokesperson confirmed to Becker’s.
