Georgia hospital taps COO

Mark Kimball has been appointed COO of Southwell Medical, an acute care facility in Adel, Ga.

In his new role, Mr. Kimball will also oversee daily operations at Southwell Health and Rehabilitation, a 95-bed skilled rehabilitation facility, according to a March 13 Southwell news release. He will provide executive leadership, execute strategic initiatives and manage budgets.

He brings more than 27 years of healthcare leadership experience, previously serving as vice president of special projects at Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp. and as CEO of Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital in Murphy, N.C., according to his LinkedIn profile.

Southwell’s main campus is Tift Regional Medical Center, a 181-bed hospital in Tifton, Ga.
