Georgia hospital CEO to exit for dual COO, CFO role

Antoine Poythress has shared plans to exit his role as CEO of Millen, Ga.-based Jenkins County Medical Center to become COO and CFO of Effingham Health System in Springfield, Ga., effective Aug. 12.

In his new role, Mr. Poythress will report directly to Effingham’s CEO Fran Witt, DNP, and help her coordinate and execute strategic plans for the health system while enhancing its operational performance, a spokesperson from the health system shared with Becker’s June 12. 

Mr. Poythress will also work to improve Effingham’s technology and single-source electronic medical records to ensure quality of healthcare services for patients and expand healthcare programs and services.
