Geisinger names Matthew Walsh COO

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System has selected Matthew Walsh as executive vice president and COO, effective Oct. 1.

Most recently, Mr. Walsh served as COO for Geisinger’s clinical enterprise, a role he has held since he joined the organization in 2017. In that role, he oversaw initiatives and clinical program developments to improve ambulatory, operating room, emergency department and inpatient access.

He previously worked at Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System for nearly 20 years.

Mr. Walsh succeeds Lynn Miller, who previously announced that she will retire next spring.
