Frye Regional Med Center CEO Michael Blackburn to Retire

Michael Blackburn, CEO of Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, N.C., has announced he will retire, effective Nov. 23, according to a report by the Hickory Daily Record.

Mr. Blackburn has served as CEO of the medical center since 2008. He also is currently serving as the president of the Catawba County United Way and as chairman of the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce, according to the report.

The hospital will announce an interim CEO soon, according to the report.
