Here are five things to know:
1. Mr. Marzinzik served as president and CEO of the hospital since December 2014.
2. He worked at Frisbie Memorial for 24 years.
3. During his tenure, Mr. Marzinzik “helped initiate a significant community response to the opioid epidemic and the mental health issues facing Rochester and surrounding towns. This includes the opening of the Rochester Community Recovery Center, which [Mr. Marzinzik] oversaw,” said Frisbie Memorial Board Chair Brian Hughes in a statement.
4. Jocelyn Caple, MD, the hospital’s CMO, took over as interim president and CEO.
5. In addition to her medical training, Dr. Caple earned an MBA from the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
