Franciscan Health names Alliance COO

Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health has named James Callaghan, MD, senior vice president and chief operating officer for Franciscan Alliance, the health system’s top corporate leadership.

Dr. Callaghan has served as president and CEO of Franciscan Health Central Indiana Division since 2015, according to a Dec. 29 news release the health system shared with Becker’s. Jay Frehm, the division’s CFO, will serve as interim president and CEO until a permanent replacement is named. 

Dr. Callaghan assumes his new role January 1.
