Former UPMC CIO Dan Drawbaugh named CEO of The Steadman Clinic

Dan Drawbaugh, MBA, former CIO of the Pittsburgh-based UPMC, has been named CEO of The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, both in Vail, Colo., effective immediately.

Most recently, Mr. Drawbaugh served as senior vice president and CIO of UPMC. He has served on a number of boards including those for Oracle, IBM, IBM Health Care & Life Systems and Verizon Wireless.

Mr. Drawbaugh replaces Gary Peterson, who served as Steadman Clinic’s president and CEO since June 2014. Mr. Peterson will remain as SPRI’s vice president of strategic initiatives.
