CEO Jay Finnegan Resigns From Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center

CEO Jay Finnegan resigned from Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport, Fla., on Wednesday for undisclosed reasons, according to a Ledger report.

He continues to be part of Heart of Florida’s parent company Health Management Associates, where he has served since 1999, according to the report.

Although the hospital is not naming an interim CEO, HMA Division President Josh Putter and Division Vice President Robert Hammond will manage the hospital until a new CEO is chosen.

Mr. Finnegan was CEO of Heart of Florida since December 2008.
