Dr. Shucoski, who is currently the system’s vice president of customer access and operational excellence, will be in charge of more than 10,550 nurses and nursing support staff, according to an Oct. 2 news release. She will succeed Lisa Johnson, RN, who is retiring after 35 years and was the first chief nursing officer at BayCare.
In past roles, Dr. Shucoski served as senior vice president for performance excellence and system integration at Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, and before that, worked in multiple leadership roles at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J.
