Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring appointed Randy Surber CEO.

1. Mr. Surber most recently served as president/CEO at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills.
2. His previous leadership roles include serving as vice president/COO for Florida Hospital DeLand as well as assistant vice president of development and acquisitions for Florida Hospital Orlando.
3. He holds an MBA degree in executive management from Anaheim, Calif.-based Bristol University.
4. Mr. Surber succeeds Bruce Bergherm, who is leaving to serve as senior executive officer of acute care services for the West Florida division of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.
