Florida hospital appoints chief nursing officer

Bradenton, Fla.-based Manatee Memorial Hospital has named Katy Wilkens, RN, BSN, chief nursing officer, the organization said Nov. 13.

Ms. Wilkens most recently served as CNO of Shreveport, La.-based Christus Highland Medical, leading clinical teams across a 200-bed hospital, microhospital and rehab hospital. 

Prior to joining Christus, Ms. Wilkens acted as vice president of patient care services and CNO of Northwertn Arizona Healthcare-Flagstaff Medical Center, according to a news release.

Manatee Memorial is a 295-bed hospital owned by Manatee Healthcare System.
