Erik Wangsness named CEO of AdventHealth Wesley Chapel hospital: 5 things to know

Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth has tapped Erik Wangsness to serve as CEO for AdventHealth Wesley Chapel (Fla.) hospital, effective Sept. 1.

Five things to know:

1. Mr. Wangsness is currently president of Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Md.

2. He was previously president and CEO of Jellico (Tenn.) Community Hospital.

3. He has been an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Maryland Hospital Association Council on Financial Policy.

4. Mr. Wangsness holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

5. He succeeds Denyse Bales-Chubb, who left to serve as s CEO of AdventHealth Tampa (Fla.) hospital.
