Aron Sandquist has been appointed CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Westover Hills in San Antonio.
It marks his return to Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health after several years, he wrote in an April 6 LinkedIn post.
In his new role, he is responsible for leading the development and opening of the new inpatient rehabilitation hospital, overseeing strategic planning, facility launch, talent acquisition and operational execution, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Mr. Sandquist most recently served as administrative director of rehabilitation services at San Antonio-based Methodist Healthcare System.
The freestanding, 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is expected to open in 2026.
