Emory DEI chief heads to Rush

Chicago-based Rush named Ildemaro González chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer.

Mr. González will plan and implement systemwide DEI strategies in collaboration with Rush’s Diversity Leadership Council, the Rush University Chief Diversity Officer Princess Currence and other leaders, according to a Jan. 7 system news release. He will also work to integrate DEI principles into workplace culture, development, marketplace engagement, patient care and community outreach.

Previously, Mr. González was chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare and the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
