Einstein Healthcare Network selects new CIO: 4 things to know

Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia named Mary Carroll Ford vice president and CIO.

Here are four things to know:

1. Previously, Ms. Ford led IT and telehealth programs for the Alaska Native population, supporting the tertiary medical center in Anchorage, 13 Alaska regions with critical access hospitals and more than 250 villages.

2. She was a member of the National Information Systems Advisory Council for the federal Indian Health Service.

3. She also formerly served as CIO at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica, N.Y., and at Lakeland (Fla.) Regional Medical Center.

4. Ms. Ford has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience with a focus on IT.
