George Sprinkel is joining Durham, N.C.-based Duke Health as vice president and CFO of the system’s Durham market, a system spokesperson confirmed to Becker’s.
Mr. Sprinkel joins Duke Health after serving as senior vice president and CFO of Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical Center since December 2021. In that role, he was critical in guiding the UMMC leadership team in improving performance and outcomes, quality and safety, and patient experience that impacted the medical center’s financial health. He also played an important role in capital investment and operating expense decision-making.
He comes to Duke Health with more than 20 years of CFO experience. Prior to joining UMMC, he served as CFO of George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
