Duke Health names hospital president

Jason Carter has been appointed president and COO of Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, N.C., effective immediately, after serving in the roles on an interim basis for the past six months.

Mr. Carter brings two decades of healthcare leadership experience and joined Durham, N.C.-based Duke Health in 2023 as COO of Duke Regional, according to a May 19 health system news release.

In his new roles, he will lead the management and operational performance of the 388-bed hospital.
