Drew Emery appointed Woodland Heights Medical Center CEO: 4 notes

Lufkin, Texas-based Woodland Heights Medical Center named Drew Emery CEO of the 149-bed facility, effective July 15, according to KTRE, a dual ABC/Telemundo-affiliated TV station.

Four notes:

1. Mr. Emery replaced Kyle Swift who left to relocate with his family.

2. He previously served as CEO of Bayfront Health Punta Gorda (Fla.).

3. Mr. Emery has 13 years of experience in hospital management and was COO at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte (Fla.) and Charlotte (Fla.) Regional Medical Center and CEO at Shands Starke (Fla.) Regional Medical Center.

4. He holds a master of health administration degree at Gainesville-based University of Florida.

“We are happy to welcome Drew to Lufkin,” Chairman of the Board for Woodland Heights Medical Center Roy Guse, MD, told KTRE. “His passion for excellent patient care and experience in service line development will be a great asset as Woodland Heights continue to improve access to medical services in our community.”
