Here are five things to know about Dr. Holmstrom.
1. Her new position with the two hospitals, which are part of the Capella-MUSC Health Network, is a part-time role.
2. In addition to her CMO role, she will continue to see patients in her internal medicine practice.
3. She has held numerous leadership positions with KershawHealth, including chief of staff and chairwoman of the department of medicine, as well as board trustee.
4. Dr. Holmstrom earned her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and is currently enrolled in the physician executive Master of Business Administration program at Knoxville-based University of Tennessee.
5. She is board-certified in internal medicine as well as hospice and palliative medicine.
