Dr. Gerald Maloney to serve as CMO of Geisinger Hospitals

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System selected Gerald Maloney, DO, to serve as CMO of Geisinger Hospitals. In his new role, Dr. Maloney will lead the CMOs and oversee clinical programs at the health system’s 12 hospital campuses.

Dr. Maloney joined Geisinger in 2007. He has served in a number of leadership positions within the health system, including associate CMO, department of medicine chairman and director of palliative medicine.

Previously, Dr. Maloney served as medical director of Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre (Pa.), which Geisinger acquired in 2005.
