St. Louis-based SSM Health appointed Christopher Sprowl, MD, president of SSM Health Dean Medical Group. He will assume his new role on March 15, 2017.
With more 20 years of healthcare experience under his belt, Dr. Sprowl previously served as president and COO of Portland-based Maine Medical Partners. Prior to that, he was vice president of Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth Medical Group.
Dr. Sprowl, a family medicine physician, earned his medical degree at State University of New York at Buffalo. He also holds a master's degree in medical management from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles.
