Dr. Carlton Rule steps down as CEO of O’Connor, Tri-Town Regional hospitals: 4 things to know

Carlton J. Rule, MD, CEO of O’ Connor Hospital in Delhi, N.Y., and Tri-Town Regional Hospital in Sidney, N.Y., is leaving his post, according to The Daily Star.

Here are four things to know:

1. Dr. Rule is leaving to take up the role of vice president and executive director of Ellis Medical Group, a 250-member provider group in Schenectady, N.Y.

2. Dr. Rule, a family medicine physician by training was named CEO of the two Cooperstown, N.Y.-based Bassett Healthcare Network hospitals in 2014.

3. He has also previously served as vice president of medical affairs and executive vice president at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, N.Y.

4. He will leave his role on March 1, 2017. The hospital will begin developing a succession plan over the coming months.
