The medical center’s board of trustees and Mr. McKenna “determined that their visions for Jupiter Medical Center are no longer aligned,” according to a statement from the hospital.
Mr. McKenna assumed the top post at the medical center in January 2018. He was previously president and CEO of St. Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, Ga. A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he holds a master’s degree in public administration from Long Island University in Brookville, N.Y.
Joanne Miller, DNP, Jupiter Medical Center’s chief nursing officer and chief experience officer, and Steve Seeley, the hospital’s COO, will step in as interim co-CEOs.
