Dignity Health hospital CEO to retire after 22 years

Alan Iftiniuk, president and CEO of Dignity Health's French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif., is set to retire later this year.

Mr. Iftiniuk led the 112-bed acute care hospital for more than two decades, and was important in driving technological and clinical advancements, creating successful partnerships as well as augmenting the hospital's recognition, according to the June 2 press release.

"I have been fortunate to serve as President and CEO for more than two decades and I am proud of countless accomplishments through the years," said Mr. Iftiniuk. "One of the most rewarding successes has come in recent times with the Beyond Health fundraising campaign, aimed to raise $30 million for the new hospital expansion project. In total, $17 million has been raised to date, which will serve the community well into the future."

A national search for a new president and CEO is underway.
