Ohio’s Akron Children’s Hospital Appoints CIO

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital has appointed Tom Ogg as CIO to oversee the system’s information technology projects, according to an Akron Children’s news release.

Mr. Ogg comes to Akron Children’s from Oakwood Healthcare Systems in Dearborn, Mich., where he served as corporate director and chief technology officer. He has also managed Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, Mich., and Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Mich.

As CIO of Akron Children’s, he will lead HIT projects for four acute teaching hospitals and 40 primary care and specialty care sites.
